Kiri is a mysterious character in the Naruto anime. Kiri had a small role and he appeared during the fourth war.

Naruto is a popular manga and anime featuring the energetic ninja Naruto Uzumaki, who dreams of being the Hokage of his village. Naruto is a fantasy comedy show with martial arts as the main theme. Plenty of characters from the Naruto show have been popular and some characters are underrated. Not many know about Kiri, the medical-inn ninja from the hidden village, Kirigakure. Kiri has never gotten the appreciation that he truly deserves.

Kiri sports spiked hair and looks like a champion. He is an integral part of the team Surprise Attack Division and appears only with the Kirigakure shinobi jacket and other outfits. Fans of Naruto say Kiri is a traitor from Kirigakure, but one can’t forget how Kiri stood in the team of Ganryu to kill messengers from the Land of Water hidden village, Iwagakure.

When Did Kiri Join the Team Surprise Attack Division?

Kiri didn’t have a prominent role in Naruto, but things changed when he joined the Surprise Attack Division. He was a key member of the team during the Fourth World War along with Kankuro. Kiri also helped Zaji with his healing abilities and found some secrets during the war. 

Though Kiri was only a medical-nin during the fourth shinobi war, his strategies and backup plan with team Diversion Platoon helped them survive with the use of Ibuse Poison Mist. Kiri’s character model was also used as a Kirigakure Shinobi in one of the Shippuden episodes. Kiri has made an impact whenever he appeared in episodes of Naruto, and he will remain an underrated character from the Naruto franchise.

What Abilities Does Kiri Have In Naruto?

Kiri is a medical-nin and he boasts the powers of healing. His healing techniques have helped many characters during the Fourth War and he utilizes the Mystical Palm Technique. With this technique, Kiri keeps his hand on wounds and sends chakras to heal them immediately. 

Kiri uses the healing techniques to primarily heal external injuries. With the usage of more chakras, Kira can utilize this ability to treat internal injuries as well. Kiri does not have other powers except this healing technique, but he’s a strong ninja who can attack multiple enemies in a close-range.

Is Kiri the Antagonist of Naruto?

No, Kiri is not an antagonist and he doesn’t appear in many episodes. He is a part of team Ganryū. When Ganryu ordered Kiri to go back against Iwagakure members, he was relentless, but eventually, he returned and got hit by the shadow clones of Naruto. In Naruto, Kiri and the protagonist, Naruto Uzumaki, don’t have combination scenes and they are not connected as well. 

In Naruto, Kiri appears in Kirigakure, the village of Five Great Shinobi Countries, and travels with the fourth war members throughout the story. Kiri is also one among many Ninjas in the story who learnt all techniques of martial arts, and he looks stronger every time during the battle. Kiri always wears the headband of his shinobi organization and wields armor during battles. His main goal was to kill Iwagakure clan members and take revenge for his father’s murder.
