Akainu is perhaps one of the most hated One Piece characters. He first appears in Robin’s flashback during the Enies Lobby Arc. His stature as a Vice Admiral and responsible for the death of many innocent people makes him a most unlikeable character. Unlike other Marines in One Piece, Akainu’s sense of true justice makes him a superior threat to pirates than anyone else.

During the Marineford Arc, Akainu was among the few Marines who stood tall and also the one to end Portgas D. Ace’s life. He also faced Whitebeard head-on and survived his many deadliest attacks. Overall, he is one of the strongest characters in One Piece and deserves the title of Fleet Admiral.

In a recent event, Oda, the creator and illustrator of One Piece, reveals the bounty of the current Fleet Admiral, Akain. The Cross Guild, an underworld organization led by Buggy the Clown, set a bounty for Marines. According to an organization, the current bounty of the Fleet Admiral is 5 billion berries. It makes him the third person with the highest bounty. He came after Gol D. Roger and Whitebeard.

This makes sense since Oda stated that if Sakazuki wanted to find One Piece, he could end One Piece in Two Years. However, there’s not much information regarding Akainu in the manga or the anime.

Given that he has a bounty of 5 billion berries on his head and fought with Kuzan for ten days straight, it is easy to say he could be at the Yanko level or beyond. Fans may have to wait to see the most hated One Piece characters in action.

Akainu, The Current Fleet Admiral And The Strongest Marine

As mentioned, Akainu is perhaps one of the most hated-about One Piece characters. His sense of absolute justice and the action he takes to achieve that makes him the worst character one could ever witness in the series. Akainu first appeared in Robin’s flashback during the Enies Lobby Arc as a person responsible for the death of many innocent people. Akainu was the one who ordered the Bluster call on Ohara, which ended many lives. Due to his horrible actions in Ohara, many fellow Marines hated him, including Kuzan.

Before this incident, they were good friends but later became rivals. In the Punk Hazard, the two duelled for ten days straight. They were fighting to decide who would be the next Fleet Admiral. Their battle was intense, causing the climate to change. However, in the end, Akainu won and destroyed his fellow Marine one leg.

He was also present in the Marineford Arc, where he fought with many characters, including Whitebeard, Luffy, Ace, and others — while the one who killed Ace and survived Whitebeard’s attacks. This shows Akainu’s attack-taking abilities. After all, he is one of the strongest Marines and recently received the bounty of 5 billion.

It is safe to say that Akainu is currently one of the strongest characters, perhaps stronger than Shanks, Graps, Luffy, and others. Oda didn’t give him many chances to show his abilities and strength. Therefore, this is only a guess of Akainu’s strength from the various sources. Oda revealed that Akainu could end One Piece in two years. Achieving his goal of becoming the Pirate King requires Luffy to exert much more effort.

Why Is The Current Fleet Admiral The Most Hated Character in One Piece?

One Piece is perhaps one of the most talked-about series, surpassing many popular titles like Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia, and more. The series is popular for its character development, design, animation, and world-building. One of the One Piece characters that become the talk of the town is Akainu. He is the most talked-about character in the fandom, not for good reasons but bad ones.

His absolute sense of justice and his actions made him the most horrible character in the world. Because of his actions, pirates and Marines hated him. One of the Marines is Kuzan, the former Vice Admiral. The two were good friends before the Ohara incident, where he ordered a Bluster call that led to the destruction of the nation, and many innocent people lost their lives.

Several years later, Kuzan finally gets his chance to take revenge on Akainu, but while fighting him in the Punk Hazard, he loses. After defeating him, Akainu took one of Kuzan’s legs to show that he was superior to him.

In the Marineford Arc, Akainu killed Ace and several other pirates. However, he lost some of his men, which he did not seem to care about. This attitude shows him why many people hate Akainu as a character. While there might be some justification for his decisive actions, his extreme measures are ultimately detrimental to the Marines.

As a result, Sengoku recommended Kuzan for the position of Fleet Admiral. However, this suggestion became irrelevant since Kuzan lost and eventually turned his back on the Marines to join the Blackbeard Pirates.

What Is The Devil Fruit Of Akainu?

Akainu, the current Fleet Admiral, has a Magu Magu no Mi, a logia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to transform his body into magma and manipulate it at will. Magu Magu no Mi is perhaps one of the strongest Devil Fruits in One Piece. He first displays his Devil Fruit power during the Summit War on Marineford. In this arc, Akainu fought Whitebeard, Ace, Luffy, Jinbei, Crocodile and Crocodile. Almost make everyone run for their money. He killed Ace and caused some damage to Whitebeard.

Due to his Magu Magu no Mi Devil Fruit powers, he became the perfect counterweight to Ace’s Flame Flame no Mi, displayed in their battle. Furthermore, he was the only Marine to inflict damage on Whitebeard. It is safe to say that Akainu is the most valuable player of the Marineford Arc. He was the one who went against everyone in the battle between Marines and Pirates. And if it is not of him, Ace would live to see tomorrow morning.

After this incident, Sengoku retired from his position as Fleet Admiral, but when he left, he recommended the Kuzan name. However, the Five Elders weren’t happy, and they recommended their candidate, Akainu.

To settle the debate, Kuzan and Akainu went to the Punk Hazard for the duel. They duelled for ten straight days, and it was the first time Oda revealed the power of Magu Magu no Mi to the fans. Their duel was so intense that the entire island’s climate changed. In the end, Akainu defeats Kuzan and destroys one of his legs. It is one of the most disrespectful moments in the series, given the fact the two were best friends. The show showcases Akainu’s determination towards true justice. He didn’t care about anyone other than justice.

Oda didn’t reveal if Akainu Awakened is Devil Fruit or not, if he is, then he is certainly one of the strongest characters.

When The Feet Admiral Make His Move?

As mentioned, Akainu is perhaps one of One Piece’s strongest characters. His sense of true justice and will to do anything to achieve it generate fear inside of pirates. Akainu is in the Fleet Admiral position and lets others handle his jobs.

During the Egghead Arc, he asked Kizaru to join the navy on their mission of killing Vegapunk. When they encountered the Straw Hats and engaged in a fierce battle, Kizaru and the others failed their mission, leading to the revelation of the World Government’s secret across the globe, causing trouble for Akainu. And this also degrades the name of the World Government among people.

After this incident, fans believed the time had finally arrived for the Fleet Admiral to make his move. Unlike other Marines, Akainu is committed to true justice and is willing to go to any length for it. He can even sacrifice his subordinates for the sake of justice.

Oda hasn’t confirmed Akainu’s future actions in the series yet, but based on theories circulating online, we may see him soon.

Moreover, Blackbeard captured Monkey D. Grap and used him as a bet to talk with the World Government. He wants to make Hachinosu the world’s recognised island. It is only possible if the World Government recognises it first. Akainu will surely go and talk with Blackbeard since he is the Fleet Admiral and must keep pirates in check.

Furthermore, fans theorise that the Revolutionary Army will be involved in the Grap rescue mission since he is the father of Monkey D. Dragon. If it happens, then we can see another grand arc like Marineford.

During the Egghead Arc, Oda introduced fans to several new characters from SWORD, and one of them was Hibari. Hibari is a beautiful girl with blonde hair and a skilled sniper. She induced her Observation Haki with sniper skills to hit Blackbeard pirates from a long range. Because of her ability to shoot targets from long range, she plays a crucial role in rescuing Koby. However, after successfully freeing Koby from the pirates, Hibari encountered Kuzan, and he turned her into an ice statue.

This incident left fans questioning whether Hibari is Akainu’s daughter since he only attacked her and no one else. There’s a theory on the internet suggesting that Hibari is the daughter of the Fleet Admiral, and he froze her only because of his rage for her father. At the moment, Oda hasn’t revealed their relationship yet. Furthermore, the Elbaf Arc is also ongoing in the manga, which makes fans believe that Oda won’t reveal more about it anytime soon. So, we fans must depend on the theory till it is officially confirmed.

There has been a claim that Hibari and Akainu are related. According to this theory, Hibari speaks in a Hiroshima dialect, which is uncommon in One Piece. The only other character who speaks in a similar way is Akainu. It makes more sense since Akainu is quite old, and having a child justifies that. Furthermore, his duty as the Fleet Admiral prevents him from caring for his potential child.

Oda provided some hints after revealing the Hibari Vivre Card pack. In this Vivre Card, Oda shares information about Hibari, including that she is from North Blue. Interestingly, Akainu is also from North Blue. Additionally, the two characters share the same blood type: F. This is enough information for the fans to consider Hibari, as an Akainu daughter.

Animeking: Summary

At the moment, Akainu is one of the strongest Marines and perhaps the most hated One Piece character. Oda introduced fans to the Akainu during the Enies Lobby Arc in Robin’s flashback. At the time, Akainu was Vice Admiral and on a mission at Ohara. He and Kuzan went to Ohara to destroy the research done by the people.

While Kuzan was trying his best to keep the casualties to a minimum, Akainu ordered a blaster call and destroyed the ship that had innocent people on board. This makes Akainu the face of true horror, and everyone in the community hates him.

Although he was a Marine and doing his duty, but killing innocents in the name of justice does not make sense to many. Furthermore, he was responsible for killing Ace, which ignited a fire of hatred among fans since they could not accept him killing Ace was fair.

As a One Piece fan, it is tough to justify a character based on his actions alone. He may be acting this way because of his troubled past, or perhaps something bad happened to him involving pirates.

There is an interesting theory online about Akainu and Monkey D. Dragon. The theory suggests that they used to work together in the Navy, with Dragon as a Vice Admiral at that time. However, Dragon realized the Navy had a dark side and left on bad terms. Before he left, Akainu and Dragon had a duel where Dragon might have defeated him badly but spared his life. This is also an indication of why Akainu spared Kuzan’s life in Punk Hazard.
