On September 12, 2024, the official X (Formerly known as Twitter) handle of Netflix anime announced the release date of the trailer for Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft. Netflix’s original anime series, Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, will hit the online streaming on October 10, 2024.

The anime series is the continuation of the Tom Raider trilogy game and follows the adventure of Lara Croft. It takes place after the 2013-2018 video game series.

As the announcement came out, fans took over X, and it gave mixed feedback. Some fans are disappointed with the protagonist’s character design, while others are excited about it.

However, she must return home when a Chinese artifact is stolen from Croft Manor. Her adventurous quest will lead her around the world and into ancient tombs, where she must face her true self and decide what kind of hero she wants to be.

In 2021, the talented British-American actress Hayley Atwell was announced as the voice of Lara Croft. She is well-known for her role as Peggy Carter in “Captain America: The First Avenger.” Later, Earl Baylon and Allen Maldonado were also cast in the series.
