Solo Leveling Season 2 Episode 5: Review & Summary

Solo Leveling Season 2 Episode 5 opens where Episode 4 left off, with Sung Jin-woo almost about to get caught red-handed when Cha Hae-in found him near the A-rank boss gate. “What are you doing down there?” says Hae-in. Obviously, Jin-woo didn’t take the risk of anyone finding out his intention, so he decided to act dumb. He mentioned being part of the mining team and lost his way down here. However, before he left, Hae-in noticed something that shocked her. She could not smell the bad mana from Jin-woo, which was strange. It was her first time smelling the mana that good.

The scene shifted with everyone leaving the A-rank dungeon — with Sung Jin-woo getting an offer to work as a minier for the guild full-time. Bae Yoon-Suk, the leader of the Hunter Guild, offered a full-time job after being impressed with Jin-woo’s dedication. He even mentioned offering Good pay, even higher than others, if he stayed with them. However, he rejected mentioning his intention of working in other areas.

The scene shifted to Cha Hae-in as she inquired about Sung Jin-woo from one of her guild members. As she was on a call with a fellow guild member, Hae-in was shocked when she heard that the captain of Hunter Guild wanted to recruit him in the guild. However, by talking on a call, Hae-in gets her answer after she isn’t wrong in doubting Jin-woo and his abilities.

The scene shifted to Jin-woo and others eating their lunch after doing hard in the A-rank dungeon. As they were enjoying lunch, Captain Son Kihoon appeared and asked Bae Yoon-Sun if anyone could join their team as a helper for their weapons. However, he mentioned because of the dungeon rank, no one was willing to participate until Jin-woo decided to tag along with them.

Who Is Chae Hae-in, The S-Rank Of The Hunters Guild

Solo Leveling Season 2 Episode 5 saw the first-ever encounter between Chae Hae-in and Sung Jin-woo. The two meet in an A-rank dungeon, where she happens to look out for her team while Jin-woo joins as a miner. Hae-in doubted Jin-woo when she saw him near the A-rank dungeon gate and asked him about his reason for coming all this way.

Afraid to get caught by Chae Hae-in, Jin-woo played dumb and revealed his bad navigation skills. However, before he could leave, Hae-in used her skills to smell the mana of Jin-woo, which was nice. It was her first sensing the mana of that good. On the other hand, Jin-woo was impressed with Hae-in’s skills. She was able to hide her mana from him, which was enough to showcase her strength. Chae-in gets Jin-woo back by getting noticed by him.

Why Captain Son Kihoon Want To Barrow Anyone From Mining Team?

Episode 5 of Solo Leveling Season 2 saw the Captain of the Hunters Guild, Son Kihoon, ask Bae Yoon-Suk if anyone from his mining team could join them as their equipment carrier wouldn’t show up. “Wouldn’t someone from the collection team be better?” says Bae Yoon-sun.

He had a solid point since the hunters in the mining team consisted of E, D, and probably C-ranks. However, the dungeon they are going to was an A-rank level, which requires A and B-rank hunters. However, just before Kihoon left with a sad face, Jin-woo stepped forward and showed interest in joining them as a carrier.

Bae Yoon-Suk suggests Jin-woo’s the danger of an A-rank dungeon can prove life-ending for him. However, Jin-woo ignored him and joined them anyway.
