Ruby was absolutely traumatized and she wouldn’t stop crying. But eventually, she got back on her feet and renewed her journey with a new determination. This is exactly what her brother wanted for her.
Memcho was so sad by Aqua’s death that she considered halting her professional activities but Kana scolded her and convinced her otherwise. With this, the B-Komachi trio reunited. Life continued on and everyone went back to their lives.
The following panels show the girls staring ahead silently, Piyeon doing his physical training with tears in his eyes, Taiki quietly sweeping Aqua’s grave, and Kana confronting the paparazzi for harassing Ruby. Miyako, despite being a grief-stricken mother, also pulled herself together.
Kana and Akane both continued pursuing their acting careers. Kana is now more invested in her acting than ever while Akane participated in variety shows, though she’s no longer phased by anything anymore, even scary pranks.
The true nature of Hikaru Kamiki and Aqua’s untimely death drew everyone’s attention to Ruby. People were curious and captivated by her story.
The next part of the final chapter of Oshi no Ko focuses on the day of B-Komachi’s much-anticipated concert at the dome. Two new girls joined the now-popular idol team, while Kana and Akane cheered from the audience. Ruby stood at the center of the stage and Akane thought: “She was the morning star that illuminated the darkness, lighting up the little girl hidden in the shadow of the stage.”
We’re then taken to Ruby’s room at 5:30 in the morning. On the table, there are numerous Aqua and Ai-themed merchandise. The final panel shows Ruby saying goodbye to her mother and brother as she heads for work.
“Off to work again today! Even though every day is filled with lies, no matter how painful, I have to smile on stage, but this job brings unparalleled joy. This is the future illuminated by you two for me. Here I go!”
