My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Anime Unveils A New Visual And The Release Window

On Wednesday, January 22, 205, the official “X” (formerly known as Twitter) handle of the TOHO Animation EN shared the new visuals and the teaser trailer for My Hero Academia: Vigilantes. My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is an upcoming series by Studio Bones. It will premiere in April 2025. Unfortunately, there’s no further information about the exact release date, cast, and episode schedule. Fans can expect the anime to reveal the much-required information in the upcoming months.

Based on the manga series of the same name, written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Hideyuki Furuhashi, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is a prequel or spin-off of the author Kōhei Horikoshi’s manga series “My Hero Academia.” The manga first began serialization in  Shueisha’s Jump Giga in August 2016. It finished in 2022 with 15 physical volumes available for fans to read.

While My Hero Academia: Vigilantes has yet to confirm a full release date, given the latest majestic release update, this should be announced in the upcoming months. The anime was first announced during the Jump Festa 2025 on December 22, 2025.

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes New Visuals And Teaser-Trailer

As mentioned, the spin-off manga’s anime adaptation shared the key visual featuring All Might, Knuckleduster, and Koichi Haimawari. The three characters jump from the sky in the shared key visual.

The visual also has a tagline in English, which reads “My Hero Academia: Vigilantes 2025.04 on air”. The popular action fantasy manga anime adaptation is produced by Bones and directed by Kenichi Suzuki, with the script written by Yōsuke Kuroda. The animation studio mentioned that the anime would premiere this year.

However, the exact release hasn’t been released yet. Studio Bones is in charge of the anime production, with Kenichi Suzuki as the director.  Kenichi Suzuki has previously worked as the director and scriptwriter for Cells At Work. The voice cast for the anime has been revealed as well: Shuichiro Umeda voicing Koichi Haimawari, Ikumi Hasegawa voicing Pop☆Step, and Yasuhiro Mamiya voicing Knuckleduster.

Kenichi Suzuki directed the series for the Studio Bones, with Yōsuke Kuroda handling the scripts. Takahito Yoshida handles the character design, while Yukihiro Watanabe is the art director. Yingying serves as the director of the photography, while Haruko Nobari is the color designer. Yuki Furuhashi, Shogo Yamashiro, and Yuki Hayashi are the music composers, while Masafumi Mima is the sound editor.

Based on the popular mangaka Hideyuki Furuhashi’s work, My Hero Academia: Vigilante’s anime is set several years before the narrative of My Hero Academia. The anime revolves around the illegal heroes, Vigilantes, who go out of their way to save people, even if others don’t consider them heroes. The story follows the life of Koich, a young boy, who has become a “Vigilante.”
