Night of the Living Cat anime finally gets a release date. Nyaight of the Living Cat is a horror comedy series based on Hawkman’s manga series of the same name. The series has an interesting premise where everyone turns into a cat after the outbreak of a virus. Night of the Living Cat team has launched a teaser trailer along with the new cast on the Cat Day.
The trailer shows the survival of people against cats and how the protagonist struggles to save everyone from becoming a cat. Nyaight of the Living Cat manga is being published in Mag Garden shonen Monthly Comic Garden magazine. The anime adaptation is produced by OLM Studio who also produced the popular anime, The Apothecary Diaries. Sony Pictures Television and Slow Curve handle the production and planning of the series.

The Night of the Living Cat anime series premieres in July 2025. An official release date is awaited, but sources reveal Nyaight of the Living Cat animated series will begin streaming in the first week of July 2025.
Night of the Living Cat Storyline
Nyaight of the Living Cat takes place in the future world in the year 20XX. A new viras is spread and it turns everyone into a cat. When humans touch or hug a cat, they transform into cats. Humans who survive get trapped in a dark world. The protagonist, Kunagi, is the only hope for humans. Kunagi doesn’t remember his past, but he has the ability to overcome pets.
Kunagi has knowledge of cats and he has to overcome hordes of cats to save people. As the story moves, Kunagi joins his friends and plans a strategy to stop the invasion of cats. It follows the journey of Kunagi and other people who experience different problems. Kunagi likes pets, but doesn’t want to attack them. In the end, it’s all about how the protagonist stops the cat-tastrophe and save humans. Nyaight of the Living Cat blends comedy, love, and emotions.
