Dandadan has proven itself as one of the best anime of 2024 with only three episodes so far, which is why fans eagerly await Episode 4.
Based on the manga by Yukinobu Tatsu, Dandadan made its debut in Fall 2024 on October 4. It’s been one of the most anticipated anime of the year and so far, fans have found it worth the wait. The new supernatural comedy anime has received an immensely positive response from the audience and has even garnered more viewership from popular titles like Bleach and Dragon Ball Daima on Netflix.
Animated by Science SARU (known for Devilman: Crybaby, Ride Your Wave, and Lu Over the Wall), the series suffered a major setback back in August this year when the first six episodes of the anime were leaked on the internet in the infamous Netflix breach. Aside from Dandadan, the entire season of Terminator Zero, the first episode of Re:Zero Season 3, the first four episodes of Ranma ½, and the Mononoke movie were also leaked.

Dandadan plot
The plot of Dandadan revolves around its two main characters – Momo Ayase and Ken Takakura (aka Okarun) – as they find themselves in progressively strange scenarios. It all starts one day when Momo decides to talk to Takakura to spare him from his bullies. This leads to the boy later approaching her to make her believe in UFOs and aliens, even though he doesn’t believe her claims of ghosts being real.
So, they suggest an infested place to the other to prove themselves right. But when Takakura visits the supposedly haunted location, he finds a terrifying ghost who curses him. Unfortunately, Momo is in a similar boat as she’s abducted by aliens who need her to revive their species. Thus begins their wacky adventures as they try to save each other from the occult and supernatural enemies.
What to expect in Dandadan Episode 4
In Dandadan Episode 4, Momo and Okarun go to the tunnel haunted by Turbo Granny and find the giant form of the ghost. After a brief altercation where Okarun’s spirit form is defeated, Momo realizes that the spirit is too strong and is captured by her. When she says she’ll eat Momo, Okarun wakes up to the occasion and decides to take matters into his own hands (or rather, mouth).
Thanks to Okarun, Momo is saved but Turbo Granny possesses him instead. Fortunately, Momo exorcizes the spirit out of his body just in time for the two to escape. But they’re followed by a huge crab demon, who’s later joined by a crowd of creepy, zombie-like aliens.
