Based on the Cyberpunk 2077 video game, Cyberpunk Edgerunners is another anime that takes place in the USA. It is set in the future world of California in 2076. The story is set in the fictional Night City which takes us through the lives of the gangsters of the American Underworld. David Martinez, the young boy, plays the lead role in a dystopian world that is dominated by technology and crime. The Street Kid becomes an Edgerunner, a mercenary outlaw and cyberpunk. He was a member of the Arasaka Academy, but he was expelled after an incident. David Martinez’s goal is to reach the top of the Arasaka security corporation and he uses his skills to fulfill his mother’s wishes.
