Dandadan is undoubtedly one of the best anime of Fall 2024 and it’s getting better with each new chapter. Based on the manga of the same name by Yukinobu Tatsu, the supernatural comedy anime follows the adventures of Momo Ayase and Ken Takakura (aka Okarun) as they look for the latter’s family jewels while facing various spirits and aliens.
So far, the duo has faced the Serpoians and the Turbo Granny, the latter of which has granted Okarun his new powers. Following this, the new friends find a different kind of nuisance to deal with in the form of Aira Shiratori, the most popular girl in school who’s found one of Okarun’s family jewels.
But there’s a more dangerous foe lurking around. In Episode 6, the group faces Acrobatic Silky, a deranged spirit who wants to be called “mama” by Aira. However, every notion of the antagonist is shattered in Episode 7 as it reveals her heartbreaking backstory before the episode ends on a gutwrenchingly beautiful note. And now, viewers are waiting eagerly to see what Dandadan Episode 8 brings.

Dandadan Episode 8 will be released on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 08:26 AM (Pacific Time) in the United States. The new episode will be streaming on both Crunchyroll and Netflix (though it may differ based on the viewer’s location).

What to expect
Dandadan Episode 7 concludes the Acrobatic Silky Arc, which means Episode 8 will commence the Serpo Arc. It’s the third story arc of the manga and will have Aira join Momo and Okarun in their adventures.
In Dandadan Episode 8, we’ll see the romance between Momo and Okarun blossom more when they get into a misunderstanding. Aira has developed a crush on Okarun, who wants to get stronger to protect Momo. So, he decides to secretly train during the lunch break and lies to Momo about it. Sadly for Okarun, Aira approaches him during his training and tries to kiss him, leading to an awkward moment where he falls on her. This is how Momo stumbles upon the two.
As Momo and Okarun mope around, the sky around them suddenly turns into space, and Okarun and Aira discover that their school has been invaded by the Serpoians who now have far more in their arsenal than they can deal with.
