Zombie Land Saga Movie Cofirmed Its Release For 2025

MAPPA producing the next title in the Zombie Land Saga franchise.

Friday, January 3, 2025, the official YouTube channel of Avex Pictures’ announced the release window of the Zombie Land Sage film through a promotional video. The treasure trailer also unveils the new visuals of the film, which will be titled Zombie Land Saga: Yumeginga Paradise.

It is an original film produced by MAPPA Studio and written by Shigeru Murakoshi. Unfortunately, there’s no more information regarding the cast, duration, and the exact release date. However, it is promised to have a talented staff from the animation studio behind it. The anime was also inspired by the manga series named “Zombie Land Saga,” by
Megumu Soramichi.

Zombie Land Saga Confirmed Its Release Window With The Promotional Video

On Friday, January 31, 2024, Avex Pictures’ shared the Zombie Land Saga promotional video on its official YouTube channel. The promotional video opened with the series’ most famous scene, where the female protagonist, Sakura Minamoto, was hit by a truck, which led to an instant death. Later, the video featured the timelapse from 2018 (when the series’ first season was aired) to the end of 2024, following an announcement of the Zombie Land Saga Film premiere in 2025.

The last few seconds of the promotional video revealed the teaser visual, which featured Franchouchou (the main protagonist idol group.) The idol group consists of seven members: Sakura Minamoto, Saki Nikaido, Ai Mizuno, Junko Konno, Yugiri, Lily Hoshikawa, and Tae Yamada. In addition, the video also revealed the film’s official title: Zombie Land Saga: Yumeginga Paradise will premiere this year.

As mentioned in the promotional video, Zombie Land Saga’s first season aired in 2018 with 12 episodes. The anime was directed by Munehisa Sakai and written by Shigeru Murakoshi. The sequel series had the same number of episodes and aired in 2021. Both series shared the same director, writer, and producer. Therefore, the upcoming film will have the same director and writer as well.

Some of the series’ main voice actors include Mamoru Miyano (Shinmon Benimaru from Fire Force), Asami Tano (Kobuna from Boruto: Naruto Next Generation), Maki Kawase (Moka Shiraishi from Honey Lemon Soda), Kaede Hondo (Hakari Hanazono from The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You), and Minami Tanaka (Shalsha from Slime Taoshite 300-nen, Shiranai Uchi ni Level Max ni Nattemashita: Sono Ni.)

Zombie Land Saga is one of the popular comedy anime directed by Munehisa Sakai. The anime revolves around a joyful protagonist, Sakura Minamoto.
