2024 Marks The End Of Jujutsu Kaisen Manga

Less than a month ago, after saying goodbye to My Hero Academia, we sadly have to prepare ourselves for the departure of another popular action title. The publisher of Shueisha’s latest Jump Press program yesterday announced that Gege Akutami, the creator of Jujutsu Kaisen, will conclude manga after five chapters on issue #40 in the Weekly Shonen Jump. It will be released on September 30, 2024.

First released in 2018, Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the best dark fantasy manga series, leaving many famous titles behind. However, as the news came to the limelight, fans took over ‘X’ (Formerly known as Twitter) and shared their thoughts.

Gege Akutami, the creator of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga series commented as follows:

  • The story will end in 5 more chapters.
  • I am only able to end the story in the way I wanted thanks to the support and cooperation of all my readers.
  • Thank You!!
  • I am working hard to create a final chapter that will (probably) satisfy as many people as possible who have supported “Jujutsu Kaisen”.
  • So everyone!! Please bear with me!!

Jujutsu Kaisen Manga: What’s To Come?

The Jujutsu Kaisen manga is set to conclude with only five more chapters remaining. It is expected to focus on the final battle between the Jujutsu Sorcerers and the ‘King of Curses’ Ryomen Sukuna. With Yuji Itadori leading the Sorcerers, the main character may soon gain the upper hand.

However, the upcoming chapters won’t solely concentrate on Yuji vs. Sukuna. As fans may remember, the manga also depicted the fight between Kenji Hakari and Uraume. Therefore, one of the remaining five chapters could also focus on this fight. We may see the conclusion of their fight.

After the fight concludes, the manga will likely tie up all the loose ends and reveal which characters survived at the end of the series. Fans will receive confirmation about the fate of several characters, including Nobara Kugisaki. Unfortunately, fans can only hope that the series will address all their questions in the next five chapters.

Jujutsu Kaisen Story

Jujutsu Kaisen was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump for more than six years. First released on March 5, 2018, and the final chapter will be released on September 30, 2024.

The Jujutsu Kaisen manga initially made fans love some of its most powerful and charismatic characters, but it quickly took them away, leaving them feeling like the wind blowing out candles at a shrine. They don’t want to spoil anything here, but they are excited to see how Akutami sensei concludes the story.

Will Sukuna finally meet his end? Does Japan get destroyed due to the [SPOILER] merger? We will soon find out all the answers, or maybe not, as five chapters might not be enough to resolve all the loose ends and storylines.

Catch With Jujutsu Kaisen

If you’d like to catch up on the Jujutsu Kaisen story through the anime, the first two seasons are currently available on Crunchyroll. The series follows young Yuji Itadori as he begins training in the dangerous arts of jujutsu sorcery and explores the violent world of curses. Yuji Itadori eats a cursed finger to save a classmate, and now a powerfully evil sorcerer, Ryomen Sukuna, known as the King of Curses, lives in Itadori’s soul. Curses are supernatural terrors created from negative human emotions, and this cursed energy can be used as a power source by jujutsu sorcerers and cursed spirits alike.

Guided by the jujutsu sorcerers, Yuji Itadori joins Tokyo Jujutsu High School, an organization that fights the curses. Mentored by his teacher Satoru Gojo, Itadori befriends Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki, both first-year students. Season 2 rewinds the clock as students Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto are tasked with protecting the Star Plasma Vessel. In October 2018, a Veil falls on Shibuya. Gojo enters with Itadori and other jujutsu sorcerers outside, unaware of Geto’s trap.
