Appare-Ranman! starts in Japan during the Meiji Era. Appare Sorano, the second son of a merchant family, is an inventor who loves steamships. One day, Sorano decides to travel across the world and he decides to shift out of Japan. When Sorano begins his journey, one of the samurai follows him and both are stranded in the sea. They spot a steamship that also takes them to Los Angeles. Appare Sorano doesn’t have money, but he participates in the “Trans-America Wild Race” and crafts a custom automobile. The samurai completes a mission and earns bucks. As the story moves, the men from Japan fight against the bandits and rivals of America. It follows their journey in Los Angeles in the late 19th century.
