With the recent episode released today, Blue Box has taken another interesting turn. As we last saw in episode 8, Taiki feels a bit shaken to see he hasn’t been able to live up to Kano’s expectations. In the recent episode, Kano relieves the baggage of Taiki that has been weighing him down. Let’s get into the details of the series.
Kano ignites the hope in Taiki for his future matches: Blue Box Episode 9 Recap.
In the current episode 9 titled- I’ll Be Rooting For You, we see Taiki is still struggles to meet Kano’s eyes as she has qualified for nationals. The next day Taiki is in distress to see his midterms are also happening right after his tournaments. He is fully preparing for his exams along with Hina and Kyou.
He is back with his practice games, yet he still hides his feelings with a big shiny smile on his face. The following day Taiki and his team get to know that Haryuu has been selected for the next level. All those who lost are asked by the coach to leave a note to themselves. They are asked to write something that they wish to change or achieve in their lives. While everyone writes that they want to qualify for the next game, Taiki wishes to master his serves and smashes.

Kano sees his wish and feels bad for him. Taiki, who has been neglecting his health by overexerting, catches a cold. Taiki behaves like nothing is wrong, but Hina, Kyou, and Kano see his defeated smile. Reaching home, Taiki is exhausted and has a bit of a fever. Kano enters his room and feels his forehead, which is burning.
She brings him some green onion soup and medicine for his fever. Taiki is excited to see Kano bringing him food and catering to him. Kano tells Taiki that she can see his sorrow. She motivated him, saying that he would master his smashes. She boosts him with happiness and asks him to learn from his mistakes and put the next foot ahead.
While Taiki insists on clearing the table, he loses his balance and falls on the bed with Kano. Both lock eyes and Kano spills her feelings without breaking eye contact.
The episodes showcase a new angle where Taiki and Kano are both starting to feel the same for each other. It’s just a matter of time before we will witness their love story blossoming with their career.

Blue Box Episode 10 Preview: What can we expect?
While episode 9 initiated feelings for both young sports stars, we may next see their love story starting to take some pace. Hina, who, too, has feelings for Taiki, might start to put in some effort, but the effort would be to get both Taiki and Kano to confess their love.
The next episode will come out on December 5, 2024, on Netflix.
