Yaiba Samurai Legend anime release date and trailer are out. The remake anime is based on Gosho Aoyama’s Shonen manga series of the same name.
Yaiba is a popular shonen manga series written by Gosho Aoyama. Yaiba has 24 volumes and it was published between 1988-1993. The novel was adapted into an anime series in 1993 by the Pastel Studio. A new Yaiba anime series has been confirmed for a premiere in 2025 and it will be a reboot to the original manga. Wit Studio known for Attack on Titan and Vinland Saga is handling the animation.
Yaiba: Samurai Legend is a reboot to the original manga and anime. The new Yaiba remake anime is directed by Takahiro Hasui. The team also revealed the new teaser along with new cast members for the Shonen series. There is no update whether the Yaiba Samurai Legend anime is a sequel to the Kenyū Densetsu Yaiba anime which was released in 1993.

Yaiba Samurai Legend is based on stories of the original manga. Yaiba Kurogane, a young boy, aspires to become a swordsman. He’s a Samurai boy who gets trained by his swordsman father Kenjuro in the jungle. Yaiba Kurogane as a teenage boy spends his time in the jungle. After many years, he will return to the city of Japan and meet another boy who has the fire to become a swordsman.
The Yaiba Kurogane and his rival Takeshi Onimaru have the same goals. Yaiba Kurogane loses a clash when Onimaru acquires the Legendary Demon Sword from his mentor. Yaiba Kurogane has another chance to claim the other ancient swords which have supernatural blades. Yaiba has to train and learn the key battle techniques to receive the new swords. He travels with Sayaka, the daughter of Mines, and develops a relationship. Yaiba’s only goal is to get the ancient powers and become the greatest swordsman of Japan by beating his Kendo rival.
