You and I Are Polar Opposites: Anime Adaptation Teases a Tale of Contrasting Love
An intriguing turn of events leads to a love story between two different personalities. The manga plot teases fans into an ‘opposites attract’ theory about two high school classmates. The plot depicts the story of Miyu Suzuki and Yusuke Tani, who are in high school. Both are aware of each other’s existence yet keep a blind eye to each other.
On one side, Miyu is a highly active high schooler who is outgoing and likes to go with the flow even at times when things or crowds don’t excite her. On the other hand, Tani is a quiet introvert who acts completely honest with people even though it sounds rude or blunt. Tani’s attitude leads Miyu to fall for him. She hasn’t been able to muster the courage to tell Tani about her feelings. Will they have a relationship? Only time will tell.
The series’ first look also showcases the contrasting personalities of the two. Tani’s expressions are completely straight, and Miyu is a happy-go-lucky pink-haired girl who seems a great person to be friends with. The manga look of the series actually depicts the opposite, with both smiling, indicating a potential love story in the works.
The series has 7 volumes, and the first anime adaptation is announced to come next year, that is, January 2026. The manga first came out in the Shōnen Jump edition in January 2021. Lapin Track produces the television adaptation.
