Description
Sakura is just a very poorly written and extremely unlikable character. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Kishimoto himself has said that he doesn’t know how to write females and it’s clear as day he has a very skewed view on young women.
Personality
This should be pretty obvious to anyone who hates Sakura. She’s the type that’s always rude to others, and opens up to her softer side around loved ones showing that she is an extremely annoying, selfish, short-tempered, and self-centered girl with a very shallow personality. I know there are a few positive points about her as the series progresses, but the negativity about her is just so much, that it simply overpowers her positivity.
Power Level
I personally don’t think she is that useless. She did pretty good job of healing people in ninja war but I can also see where people come from. After all she was one of the main character in Naruto with ample of screen time yet she failed to achieve more. She was pretty much useless in part one there is no argument about that and depended completely on Naruto and Sasuke. But in Part 2 she only shined in beginning(vs sasori) and at the end(Ninja war) and other time she was just helpless. Pretty bad for a main character if you ask me.
Backstory
Her backstory is simply that the most handsome boy who didn’t give two craps about her left the village, came back later and married her? Oh and billboard brow. Amidst a sea of beautifully written characters with painful stories and losses, she was the LEAD FEMALE WHO LOST ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, NOT AS PART OF HER BACKSTORY, NOT DURING THE COURSE OF THE ANIME. That just made her character so boring and with her taking up so much screentime, it was super annoying to watch her.
Rival with Ino
She was bullied as a kid, okay, that seems fine. She found a girl named Ino who became her only friend, that’s also okay. Ino motivated Sakura to grow better as a person. I liked that relationship.Until Sasuke came and both Ino and Sakura were infected by a strange disease called Sasuke-kun syndrome. This caused Sakura to become rivals with Ino for the sake of Sasuke.If I had to choose who is better between a friend who helped me against the bullies and a guy that looks handsome, but doesn’t give a single shit about me, I would stick to the first option, something that Sakura didn’t.She lacks depth compared to the rest of the main cast and is a pretty lame friend. This should be enough for us, viewers to dislike her.
Stupidity
She cried and told Naruto ‘bring Sasuke back to me’ as though he is some sort of possession of hers. She didnt even try to go herself.Her ‘IQ 200 +’ thought she could stop a jinchuriki with kunai, and thought she could stop Naruto’s rasengan and Sasuke’s chidori simply by running between them.She confessed her ‘feelings’ to Naruto, which was pretty unnecessary because she planned on going and killing Sasuke herself after that.Went to Sasuke with a poisoned kunai, froze up, again told him she was willing to go rogue, didnt even land a single scratch on Sasuke. Ended up being rescued twice by Naruto and Kakashi, and her poisoned kunai poisoned Naruto in the end.
Selfishness
From the start it has always have been about her. Her wanting to date Sasuke and be with Sasuke even it means causing harm to others. Throughout the series she was dependent on Naruto to bring Sasuke. Even during Sasuke retrieval all she was concerned was the team to bring back saskue and not the well being of team who all of them were injured pretty badly.She was so selfish that she was even ready to leave konoha to join sasuke on his path of destruction.
Obsession with Sasuke
From the very beginning she was all over sasuke just because he looks good and nothing else. Even after sasuke repeatedly told her to stay away from him she would not heed. Always running behind him and saying S-s-sasuke- kun this, S-ssasuke-kun that, S-s-sasuke-kun help me, S-s-sasuke-kun love me. In real life such girl would straight away go in Jail.The moment Sasuke arrives in front she stops doing everything and starts crying. Seriously how hell did even sasuke agree to marry her is a big mystery.
Abuse Naruto
She hit Naruto in series alot just cause she is happen to be mad for no reason. She also made fun of Naruto for being an orphan in front of Sasuke who is another orphan. She only decided to be nicer to Naruto because Sasuke snapped at her and told her its hard without parents. Even at the end of the series she never seems to thought her actions as wrong or ever apologise to Naruto for her actions.
Conclusion
Lets be real Sakura has done some awesome things. But people still hate her because the amount of annoying things she has done just overpowers her accomplishments. Accomplishments such as winning against Sasori, Punched kaguya, figure out white Zetsu’s trap etc.
