The Dinner Table Detective is a unique mystery thriller. Reiko Hōshō plays the lead role as the daughter and heiress of the Hōshō Group owner. Reiko works as a detective at the Kunitachi police department. She works together with
Kazamatsuri, the owner of Kazamatsuri Motors. The duo worked on many cases and became the successful detectives in Tokyo.
Reiko is close to her butler and driver, Kageyama. Though Kageyama always accuses and insults Reiko, she becomes closer and asks for his opinion in cases. Kageyama is a genius, but his brain works only after dinner. He is a sharp-tongued butler but a wise man. When Reiko fails to solve cases, she always gets guided by Kageyama. When a new case arrives, Reiko and other detectives in the department are stunned. To solve the mystery, they go to the butler again. As the story moves, Reiko finds unknown secrets and mysteries behind the case.
