The mystery romance manga The Apothecary Diaries (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto) has been recently announced for season 2. The first visual of the series in the second season is out. After a great success in season 1, the fans have been eagerly waiting for season 2. The second season was announced right after the first, but finally, the release date is out alongside the first visual.

What does season 2 of The Apothecary Diaries (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto) unfold?
Season 1 concludes on a cliffhanger. Leaving fans on the edge of another case for Maomao, the last epsiode of season 1 laid the premises for season 2. The first visual of season 2 revealed another case for Maomao and her companion Jinshi. The first teaser of the series teases fans on another mystery scheming alongside the palace.
Both Maomao and Jinshi are silently investing in a case. Another incident happens in the palace, and the concubines live there. Will Maomao be able to unveil another shrouded mystery happening in the kingdom? The series is slated to arrive on January 10, 2025. It will be live-streamed on Nippon TV and also on Crunchyroll.
Like the first season, season 2 is divided into two parts. The first part will come out on January 10 with a certain number of episodes, and the rest will follow the initial episodes later that month. We can expect 24 episodes in season 2, which is titled Medicine and Monologue (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto).
The premises of season 1 talk about the life of Maomao, who works as a medicine expert in a red-light area of a fictional town during the Tang Dynasty era. Maomoa is accidentally kidnapped and sold off in the Imperial Palace. After being recognized as an apothecary, she still works there as an indentured servant.
She works in disguise to provide aid to the ill in the palace. She is seen by an eunuch, and later both team up together to find various happenings in the brothel leading to the concubine’s ill health. Brace yourselves for another exciting adventure of the season 2 mystery romance series.
