The story of My Happy Marriage is set in the Taishō era. All humans have magic and special skills except Miyo Saimori who is also the protagonist of the show. Miyo is an innocent young girl who lives her life as a servant. She is raised by her abusive stepmother and married to a barbaric guy, Kiyoka Kudo. Kiyoka is a part of the Kudou family and he is also the leader of the Special Anti-Grotesquerie Unit.
Both Kiyoka and Miyo have different goals, and their traits are unique. Kiyoka suspects Miyo for small things and they fight every day. As the story moves, Miyo meets new characters and shares her struggles. Miyo also follows her husband’s orders and stays loyal to him. A series of events take place and Kiyoka becomes unconscious. Miyo Saimori is the only hope to save Kiyoka, and they both become closer.
