Square Enix Manga & Books handles English publication of the manga and provides this story description:
Following a traumatic childhood experience where a friend criticized his passion for traditional dolls, aspiring doll craftsman Wakana Gojō lives as an outcast, seeking comfort in his high school’s home economics classroom. To Wakana, popular students like the beautiful Marin Kitagawa—always surrounded by friends—seem like beings from another planet. However, when the outgoing Marin discovers Wakana sewing after school one day, she boldly approaches him to recruit the quiet student for her secret passion: cosplay.
The manga began serialization in Square Enix’s Young Gangan magazine in January 2018. In September 2023, it transitioned to monthly publication for its “Tenmei” (Mandate of Heaven) story arc, which had commenced with chapter 86 in January 2023. The main series concluded on March 21, though additional bonus and epilogue chapters are planned for future release. Square Enix released the 14th compiled volume in November 2024, with the 15th volume scheduled for July 25. The English edition’s 13th volume was published on April 15, and the 14th volume is set for October 21 release.
