May I Ask for One Final Thing was published as both a novel and a light novel series. The story focuses on Scarlet and her fiance, Prince Kyle. When Scarlet and Kyle get ready for their engagement, there is a twist as the Prince cancels the event. This comes as a surprise to Scarlet and other members who are present in the event.

Someone wrongly accuses Scarlet of harassing a woman, and this persuades the prince to call off the event. Scarlet accepts the crime that she has not done and asks the prince for one final thing. When the prince accepts, Scarlet starts punching all criminals in the crowd including her fiance. As the story moves, Scarlet meets new characters and explores the world. The journey of Scarlet from her childhood to adulthood will be shown in the series.
