After a great response to season 1, Kaiju No. 8 is coming back. Season 2 of the popular science fantasy is yet to be confirmed, but something else has caught fans’ attention. Kaiju No. 8 Movie Teases Fans with a Special Episode from Season 1
With the announcement of the special edition of Hoshina’s Day Off in a full-length feature, fans will also see the season 1 compilation. This will set to come out on March 28, 2025. The first visual of the movie is also out, where Kafka Hibino and his Kaiju are ready to enter another adventure.
The movie’s synopsis states that a day off is a rare moment of serenity for the Defense Force. Reno has lost track of what he is meant to do with his free time after so much training. On his day off, he notices that Hoshina is up to something and decides to embark on a quest to follow him with Iharu! But then things take an unexpected turn.

As for the season 1 compilation we shall see, a world of Kaiju-infested Japan, Kafka Hibino works in monster removal. After reconnecting with his childhood friend Mina Ashiro, a rising star in the anti-Kaiju Defense Force, he chooses to pursue his abandoned goal of joining the Force. When he unexpectedly turns into the formidable Kaiju No. 8.
Kafka hides his identity with the help of his junior coworker Reno Ichikawa while pursuing his lifelong aim of passing the Defense Force exam and standing by Mina’s side. But when mysterious intelligence Kaiju attacks a Defense Force base, Kafka must make a critical decision in a desperate circumstance.
Apart from this season, Kaiju No.8 is also set to have a season 2, which is coming in 2025.
