Dragon Ball Super Manga Confirms Continuation With Toyotaro Behind It, And Fans Couldn’t Be Happier

After months of hiatus, the Dragon Ball Super manga series will return soon. During the interview, the people from Shueisha said Toyotaro would continue as the mangaka in charge of the project after Akira Toriyama on March 1, 2024. This news spread like fire in the community, getting positive responses from the fans who believe Toyotaro is the best choice if the manga continues.

Toyotaro has been the illustrator for the Dragon Ball Super manga series since the publication started, and Toriyama handles the writing, which is why many think the former is the best choice to continue with the project. This was also a natural progression for the franchise since it has a mangaka familiar with the inner and has experience with the working original creator.

Toyotaro Will Be The Official Mangaka For Dragon Ball Super

Beyond Toyotaro’s confirmation as the mangaka of the Dragon Ball Super manga series, there is also a question of how the story will move forward. There is an element of Frieza Black Transformation that makes him the strongest in the Universe 7 and of course, Gohan’s recent Beast Form.

However, regarding the potential plot points that need to be addressed, the general perception is that Toyotaro is the right choice to continue the story. That is because of his art style, understanding of the franchise, and experience working with Toriyama and Shueisha. Here is what fans said:

Just after the news broke on the internet, fans took ‘X’ (Formerly known as Twitter) to express themselves. One of the users post:

Hes the only man to carry it forward.

Another one posted:

Good, and I wish him all the best. And all those Toyo haters can go cry.

There is no official confirmation regarding when the series will be available for the fans to read, but at least they know it is coming, and Toyotaro will continue with the helm.

Dragon Ball Super Chapter 101 Summary

In the Super Hero Saga, the main threats come from Red Ribbon Pharmaceuticals, who attempt to take over the world using advanced androids and biotechnology. Gohan Beast and Orange Piccolo eliminate Cell Max and many of the villainous organization’s dedicated soldiers. The Red Ribbon Army has been a nuisance to Dragon Ball’s heroes since the original series, and it’s interesting to find out that they are not yet out of the picture. Chapter 101,

“Carmine and Soldier #15,” starts with Magenta’s low-key funeral and the news that Carmine and his lackey, Soldier #15, are the only remaining members of Red Ribbon Pharmaceuticals. Although Red Ribbon lacks a base of operations and foot soldiers, Carmine still has significant funds and resources that can aid these villains in developing new forms of evil.

The most logical plan would be for them to disappear and regroup after obtaining greater resources. However, Carmine is already eager to seek revenge on those who have wronged them. Carmine’s main concern is still Gohan and Piccolo. He believes that any immediate efforts will be fruitless as long as these two heroes are around to thwart their plans.

This means that their primary objective is to eliminate Gohan and Piccolo before launching a full-scale return. It’s curious that Carmine continues to view their work for Red Ribbon as heroic and altruistic while painting Gohan and Piccolo as the villains.
