Dandadan Season 1: Plot & Summary
Dandadan Season 1 is one of the most celebrated dark fantasy anime of the fall of 2024, based on the manga series of the same name by Yukinobu Tatsu. The plot revolves around two teenagers, Momo Ayase and Ken Takakura. One believes in ghosts, while the other believes in aliens.
While proving another wrong and one right, they make a bet that one should visit locations associated with extraterrestrials and others with the occult. Momo visits the extraterrestrial activity location while Ken goes to the graveyard. Soon, fans discover that Momo has been abducted by a group of aliens who accidentally unblocked her chakras. Meanwhile, Ken becomes possessed by a spirit known as “Turbo Granny.”
As the story progresses, the two work together to defeat the aliens and save the day.

On Saturday, December 21, 2024, the trailer for Dandadan Season 2 was shared on the Crunchyroll YouTube channel. This trailer announcement was part of Jump Festa 2025, which featured a panel for the anime.
The trailer opens up with Jin Enjoji’s house, which the main characters visited in the last episode of season 1. Turbo Granny and Momo Ayase were talking about the Jiji’s house. The trailer further reveals the bad news about the house and how Jin was seeking help in the first Season. It shows fans Turbo Granny’s point of view, she says,
That house soaked up too much human blood.
As the trailer progresses, we see Ken Takakura transforming into his Turbo Granny form along with the entry of new antagonists and side characters.
Dandadan Season 2 Got A Release Window Of 2025
On Thursday, December 19, 2024, the official Dandadan website and “X” (Formerly known as Twitter) handle announced its Season 2 with the key visual, along with the PV on YouTube. According to the short clip, the Dandadan season will premier in July 2025, i.e. Summer 2025. The short clip also reveals the upcoming series’ key visuals along the continuation. Once the video was uploaded to YouTube, it spread rapidly.
The key visual featured Momo Ayase, Okarun (Ken Takakura), Jin Enjoji, and Evil Eye in the background. Accompanied by an ominous tone, the upcoming season of Dandada promised to cover the Crushed House Arc, Evil Eye Arc, and the Kaiju Arc.
