Blue Orchestra manga series will be published again after 16 months. The Coming-of-age musical drama series is written by Makoto Akui. Shogakukan publishes the manga series on MangaONE app and Ura Sunday website. Ao no Orchestra/Blue Orchestra manga began serialization in 2017 and it has crossed 11 volumes. The manga was adapted into an anime by Nippon Animation Studio.
Blue Orchestra Manga’s 75th chapter was published in October 2023 and the team has been on a break for more than 15 months. Shogakukan’s Manga ONE confirmed the manga will resume with the new chapter this month. Blue Orchestra is a popular manga series which sold more than 3.5 million copies. Blue Orchestra Manga chapter 76 will be published on February 25, 2025. Shogakukan also confirmed there will be new chapters every two weeks. Here is the official story description,

Blue Orchestra – Story
Blue Orchestra is all about Hajime Aono and Ritsuko Akine who wish to pursue a career in the musical field. Hajime Aono is a young violin prodigy who has won top-level competitions during his school days. His father is a professional violinist who also supports him. One day, his father and mother get separated after his mother finds out about his day’s affair. Aono is sad and decides to give up on music.
When Hajime Aono joins the middle school, he meets Ritsuko Akine who impresses him with her violin skills. Aono persuades Akine to improve her skills at an Orchestra club. The teacher of Umimaku High School asks Hajime Aono to join the orchestra club and retrieve his musical career again. The Umimaku High School has won 8 national level competitions in 8 years and Hajime Aono embarks on a new adventure with Ritsuko Akane. The duo embark on a new journey and succeed in their profession.

Blue Orchestra manga series is written by Makoto Akui who also illustrates art. The Blue Orchestra anime is directed by Seiji Kishi. Yūko Kakihara is the writer for the anime and Akira Kosemura is the music composer. Nippon Animation who worked on projects like Anne of Green Gables and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer produced the anime. Blue Orchestra anime’s second season will be released during Fall 2025.
