Blue Box Episode 10 Review: How Sudden Distances Spark Misunderstandings

Another fascinating episode of the Netflix anime Blue Box has been released. In the new episode, an interesting twist has yet again caught fans’ attention. As Taiki and Kano slowly come closer, Kano’s sudden dismissal of Taiki gives an unexpected twist to the episode. Let’s get into the details of the tenth episode of the Blue box anime series.

Blue Box episode 10, titled Not a Good Thing, opens at the end of episode 9. Taiki and Kano fall on each other, making things a bit awkward. Things get a little too much, but Kano feels Taiki’s head to check the fever. She pulls herself back on her feet and asks Taiki to go to sleep. Taiki is flushed with feelings and goes to sleep.

The next day Taiki’s mother checks her fever, and he is completely fine. As Taiki leaves for practice, he thinks about the situation every step of the way to his training center. He meets Haryuu, who is cleaning the pool. He invites Taiki to help them if he has time. At first, Taiki almost refuses, but seeing Kano with her friends helping out, he agrees. Haryuu asks Taiki about his health and later tells him not to overburden himself with more practice.

He tells Taiki that he needs to focus on his speed and asks him to enhance it with swimming. He also warns Taiki that knowing Kano for so long, he can tell that she tries to distance herself from people with whom she doesn’t want to hang out. Later, all are having fun, but Taiki intends to leave for his practice. He meets Kano in the storeroom.

Taiki thanks Kano for her help. Kano too asks him if he is going swimming too, but he says he has practice. Taiki is still not able to wave away the thought that happened in his room. In the evening, Taiki’s parents have a small barbeque in their backyard. Taiki’s father acknowledges Kano’s presence in their house. He admits to her that at first, he wasn’t ready to accept a girl living with them, but now he is happy as a new member.

Later Taiki and Kano went to the convenience store to buy some noodles for the barbeque when Kano, for the first time, talked about her father. At first, Taiki thought that his father said something to her, but she says that he was just happy to have her. Coming back to their conversation about Kano’s father, she says that her father is a man of few words.

When she told him that she was staying with her mom’s friend, he just looked at her and made small talk: “Is that so?” As they were about to reach home, Kano was saved by Taiki through a speeding car. They both again came closer. Later, Kano asked Taiki to keep their distance from her, and she would try not to cause any trouble.

The next day at school, Taiki and his friends are talking about summer assignments and how they are planning to visit places. They see Kano through the window, but Taiki hides. He says that they are trying to keep their distance from one another, especially Kano, who has stepped away all of a sudden.

Hina and Kyou stand still, thinking about what happened between them all of a sudden. Why did Kano distance herself from Taiki? Is Taiki thinking that he has crossed the line? The Blue box next episode will let fans know.
