On Monday, February 02, 2025, the “X” (Formerly known as Twitter) handle and official website of Araiguma Calcal-dan anime got a majestic release window of April 2025 and unveiled the new key visuals. In addition, the official anime staff members revealed key information about the story and characters. Produced by Nippon Animation (the studio behind Hunter x Hunter, Beyblade, and others) announced that the studio is working on Araiguma Calcal-dan anime.
Araiguma Calcal-dan is an upcoming Japanese original anime television series and spin-off of Rascal the Raccoon 1977 anime series. The original anime series “Rascal the Raccoon” was released in 1977 with fifty-two episodes under the production of Nippon Animation.
Notably, the original anime series adapted from the 1963 autobiographical novel of Rascal, A Memoir of a Better Era by Sterling North.

Araiguma Calcal-dan Revealed Its Release Window
According to the latest revealed anime official staff, Araiguma Calcal-dan will begin its broadcasting in April 2025 (in Spring) on Yomiuri TV and BS NTV channels in Japan. Unfortunately, there’s no information about the exact release available. The anime voice cast is as follows: Junya Enok (Degesu from Dragon Ball Daima) will be voicing Acacal, a cheerful red fox who joins Cal-cal-dan as a recruit. Kensho Ono (Yamada Asaemon from Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku) will be voicing Subcal, an employee who prefers to be left alone, and Taku Yashiro (Shishiba from Sakamoto Days) features Logical, a low-level executive who thinks of business.
In addition, the voice also includes Yohei Azakami (Matsukaze from Dr. Stone Science Of Future) and Kenjiro Tsuda (Kento Nanami from Jujutsu Kaisen). Notably, the official website and their “X” (Formerly known as Twitter) handle had announced the cast members previously but not their roles. However, with the recent announcement, the official clarified most of the things about the upcoming anime. In addition, they unveil the character profile of each cast member from the series.

Henry Hirakawa directs the anime at Nippon Animation, with Arisa Okehazama as the sound director. Ayano Yoshioka has joined the staff as the character designer, while Arisa Okehazama is the music composer.

Although, most of the Calcan-Dan members belong to the elite class, where everyone strives to meet the company goals.
