Synopsis of Episode 1
Tokyo Metropolitan Chidori High School is a low-ranking all-boys institution, while Kikyo Gakuen Girls’ High School is a prestigious school for refined young women. Although located side by side, the social divide between the two schools runs deep.
While helping out at his family’s cake shop, Chidori student Tsumugi Rintaro meets Waguri Kaoruko, a girl with a love for sweets. Startled by the encounter, Kaoruko runs away. Rintaro is left feeling guilty for scaring her—until she returns the very next day. Their unexpected connection sets the tone for a sweet and emotional tale.
