City the Animation has Midori Nagumo, the sophomore at Mont Blanc University in the lead role. Midori Nagumo is not rich and she doesn’t have money to repay her debts. One day, her landlord expels her out and asks her to pay the debts. Nagumo starts working at Makabe’s Western Bistro as a waitress, but she doesn’t get time to spend time with her friends.
Midori Nagumo misses everything, but her goal is to repay the loan. She spends her time in school and at the restaurant. Her best friends are Ayumu Niikura and Wako Izumi. Niikura is a freshman who aspires to become a photographer. Izumi is Nagumo’s classmate, but she doesn’t like Nagumo’s attitude. Wako Izumi’s only job is stalking Nagumo and finding her secrets. As the story moves, Midori Nagumo repays her debts and begins her fun adventures.
