Mono, a comedy four-panel manga series written by Afro is getting an anime adaptation. The Mono anime series will begin its premiere in Summer 2025. It is directed by Ryota Aikei and a new character visual has been unveiled by the team. The Mono anime series has five characters and every character will have equal space throughout all episodes.
Zombie Land Saga fame Maki Kawase joins the series as Kako Komada, a content creator who loves riding motorcycles. A new character trailer for Kako Komada was launched on the official website and Twitter as well. The Mono anime series’ script is written by Yoko Yonaiyama. Houbunsha publishes the manga in Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine and it has crossed 4 volumes. The Mono anime joins the list of most anticipated anime series of 2025. “The Photography Club is in danger of shutting down?! And the Cinema Club too?! Fret not, for they shall merge and become…Cinephoto Club! Now, club members Satsuki, An, and Sakurako are asked to be the main characters for manga artist Haruno’s latest work that’s centered around action cameras. Mono Storyline
Mono series is all about the journey of members of Photo Club and Cinema Club. Satsuki Amamiya and An Kiriyama play the lead roles who are once members of the Photography Club now plan to merge the photography and Cinema Club after an interaction with the Cinema Club head, Sakurako Shikishima. They launch the new Cinephoto club and embark on a new venture.
The trio meet Haruno Akiyama, a manga artist, and join as the main characters. Akiyama’s goal is to take pictures all over japan for her next project and she works with the trio. As the story moves, Kako Komada, a moto vlogger joins their project, and the gang explores every location and takes beautiful pictures. The Mono is a beautiful adventure of five friends and their journey in Japan.
