Who doesn’t love the Jujutsu Kaisen series? The 6-year journey officially ended on September 30, 2024. Jujutsu Kaisen started its serialization in 2018 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine. Jujutsu Kaisen has sold more than 100 million copies. The manga also sold 7.6 million copies in 2024 and leads the charts in the list of Highest Selling manga of 2024. Jujutsu Kaisen is all about Yuji Itadori and his journey in the magical world. Itadori joins the Jujutsu Sorcery organization after gaining a special power. One Piece remains one of the highest-grossing manga of all time. It started its serialization in 1997. One Piece sold more than 500 million copies. In 2024, One Piece sold 5.2 million copies. The One Piece is a story of pirates who embark on an adventure all over the world to find treasure. Monkey D. Luffy plays the main role in the show as the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates. In One Piece, humans and other races are the main characters. Monkey D. Luffy, is a man who was born after eating Gum-Gum Fruit. The pirates go on an adventure to find the treasure of the king of the pirates Gol D. Roger, and become the greatest pirate in the world.
Frieren Beyond Journey’s End

The Frieren Beyond Journey’s End is a fantasy drama that started its serialization in 2020. Frieren has sold more than 22 million copies and it has sold 4.9 million copies in 2024. The Frieren manga is directed by Kanehito Yamada and it is available in Shogakukan’s shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Sunday. Frieren is one of the top-rated manga series in history. It was adapted into anime in 2023 by the Madhouse Studio.
Frieren is a fantasy drama. The story takes place in a fictional world of Japan. Frieren, a retired mage, plays the titular role. She saved the world from the Demon King along with her comrades. After 50 years, Frieren returns to her town and meets her friends. She becomes heartbroken after knowing about Himmel’s death. Frieren decides to meet the souls in the north and pay a tribute to Himmel. The Elven Mage also embarks on a new journey to learn magic and she promises to take care of Fern, an orphaned child adopted by Heiter. Frieren is an emotional tale of a mage and comrades who fought for their race.
The Apothecary Diaries

The Apothecary Diaries manga began its serialization in 2017. As of 2024, the manga has sold 38 million copies. The rise of the Apothecary Diaries is huge, as more than 4.7 million copies have been sold in 2024 alone. The Apothecary Diaries is set in the Tang dynasty. The story takes place in the Imperial China period. In the manga, Maomao plays the main role of a maid. She is an Apothecary from the red-light district who now works as a servant in the Imperial Palace.
Maomao’s journey in the Imperial Palace begins when the emperors’ newborns and concubines are diagnosed with diseases. Maomao helps them cure the disease, but she doesn’t show her identity as an Apothecary. Jinshi, an eunuch, finds Maomao’s identity, and he hires her for another mission. She solves cases in the palace by using her magic and skills.
Blue Lock

It’s rare to see a manga in the sports genre. Blue Lock, a sports drama written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro is being serialized in Kodansha’s weekly shonen magazine. The sports manga illustrated by Yusuke Nomura has sold more than 3.8 million copies in 2024. Blue Lock is 5th on the list of Highest Selling manga in 2024.
Blue Lock, the football-based manga is all about Yoichi Isagi and Meguru Bachira. Yoichi Isagi aspires to become the greatest footballer in Japan. He is a powerful striker who failed in the nationals’ qualifiers. When the Japanese football enigma launches the Blue Lock training regimen, Yoichi gets an opportunity to find his form and he joins the program as well. The goal for everyone is to find the best team for the 2022 football World Cup. Yoichi Isagi meets Meguru Bachira, a team Z player and the duo embark on their journey together.
Kaiju No.8

Kaiju No.8 is a mystery sci-fi manga written by Naoya Matsumoto. The manga sold more than 3.3 million copies in 2024. As of 2024, Kaiju No 8 is one of the highest-selling manga with more than 16 million copies. The story is set in a fictional world of Japan where evil monsters called Kaiju dominate humans. The increase in the rate of Kaiju attacks becomes a threat.
Kafka Hibino/Kaiju No.8 is a young boy who gets the powers of a Kaiju after ingesting a parasitic creature. The Kaiju power allows him to move and attack faster. He has to join the Japanese Anti-Kaiju Defense Force (JAKDF) using his powers to destroy the Kaiju threat. Kaiju No.8 manga is available on Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ app.
Kingdom

Kingdom is an epic historical adventure from Yasuhisa Hara. The manga has sold 100 million copies. In 2024, Kingdom remains one of the highest selling manga with 3.2 million copies. Li Xin is the protagonist of the series. The story is based on the Warring States period, a Chinese history period in 221 BC. Xin and Piao, two best friends, play the main roles. They are war orphans who spend their life in the Kingdom of Qin.
Xin and Piao dream big and their goal is to become the “Greatest Generals of the Heavens”. Piao is abducted by a minister and he becomes a servant in a new place. Xin spends his time alone and meets Piao after a few months. Pia is wounded and he revealed he was working as a body double for Ying Zheng the King of Win. Xia is heartbroken after his friend’s murder, but he decides to befriend the king to complete his revenge. Xia embarks on a new journey to end the war in China and he also completes his dream.
Haikyu

Haikyu is a masterpiece in every aspect. The sports manga written by Haruichi Furudate is being published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. Shoyo Hinata plays the main role who studies at the Karasuno High School. Shoyo Hinata’s dream is to join the school’s volleyball team. Hinata joins the team, but he is disappointed when he finds no one from Karasuno High School has a passion for the sport.
Shoyo Hinata’s attempt to persuade others is a success and he starts practice with third year students. The School’s first volleyball match ends in a huge defeat and the opposite team led by Tobio Kageyama is one of the top teams in the city. Shoyo Hinata and Tobio Kageyama challenge each othe. In the end, the duo join together and play for the Karasuno team. They win tournaments and reach great levels. My Hero Academia

When it comes to the Superhero genre in Manga, My Hero Academia tops the list. The Superhero adventure manga has sold 2.9 million copies in 2024. My Hero Academia is illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi and it has sold more than 100 million copies after its serialization in 2014. The manga ended in 2014 and remains an all-time classic series. My Hero Academia was adapted into anime, anime films, manga spin-offs, and video games.
In the world of My Hero Academia, every human has a special skill called Quirk. Izuku Midoriya, the high school student plays the lead role. His goal is to become the greatest hero of the town. Izuku Midoriya was born without a Quirk and was timid. Midoriya grew by watching his favorite fighters’ techniques and quirk. He used to write down their skills and quirks. Izuku Midoriya meets his idol, All Might, and gains a special skill, “One For All”. He joins the Hero Academy and becomes the strongest fighter of his village.
Spy x Family

The Spy x Family is a journey of a spy who embarks on a new mission with his adopted family. It is written by Tatsuya Endo and the manga is in its 14th volume. Spy x Family manga sold 2.6 million copies in 2024. The reach of the series has gone to the next level. The Spy action manga is available on Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ platform. It has sold 35 million copies.
Spy x Family is a battle between two nations, Westalis and Ostania. Twilight, an agent from Westalis, is the protagonist. He is a skilful human with the best combat skills. Twilight is given a mission to spy on Donovan Desmond, the leader of Ostania. To find the secrets and bring peace to the nation, Twilight has to befriend Donovan Desmond. He adopts an orphan girl and marries an unknown woman. As the story moves, Twilight finds his wife is an assassin and the adopted girl is a telepath. Twilight joins them and completes the mission by using their skills.
