As a result, the viewers become ardent fans of Tetsuaki Watanabe’s anime series. The second season of Blue Lock would follow the “Blue Lock vs U-20 Japan arc” from the manga series. As the title suggests, players who pass the program will face the Under-20 Japan team in a football match. And only the best would go further, becoming the best striker.

The fourteen anime episodes will stream on Crunchyroll on October 5, 2024. The title of the anime season 2 is “Blue Lock vs U-20 Japan,” and continues the story of soccer players across Japan who are part of a controversial training problem to create the world’s best striker.

When Will Blue Lock Season 2 Air?

Blue Lock Season 2 will be available to stream on Crunchyroll on October 5, 2024. We already knew the release window. Recently, it was announced on the show’s official ‘X’ (Formerly known as Twitter) account along with Yusuke Nomura’s commemorative illustration.

The streaming giant has confirmed that the entire season will be available for streaming on the service for all fans outside of Japan in October. This announcement was made during the Anime Expo 2024 industry panel.

Season 1 of Blue Lock aired from October 2022 to March 2023, spanning 24 episodes. The anime covered 11 volumes (roughly 90 chapters) of the manga, originally started in 2018.

For those eagerly anticipating the second season, there’s some exciting news. A spin-off movie titled “Blue Lock: Episode Nagi” will soon be available for the fans to watch on the big screen.

It has been confirmed that the “Blue Lock” movie will be shown in the UK first, with both subtitled and dubbed versions available. The movie will be a prequel centred around Seishiro Nagi, one of the original show’s main characters. As a reminder, Nagi was initially a withdrawn and disheartened teenager at the beginning of the show, but his rivalry with Isagi ignited a passion for competition, transforming him into one of the fiercest competitors.
